Step 1: Connecting Bouncezap to Constant Contact

In the Bouncezap platform, during the audience integration steps, navigate to the ‘collecting subscriber’s’ field and click the drop-down menu for the location that you want to send your subscriber contact details to.

Scroll down to ‘Constant Contact’ upon which you will be instructed with a prompt to enter your Constant Contact API Key and Constant Contact Token.

Step 2: Logging into your Constant Contact Account

To obtain your Constant Contact identification credentials, you need to create or log-in to your ‘developer account’, this is separate to your normal Constant Contact account. The sign-up is quick, easy and free. If you do not have an account, go to https://constantcontact.mashery.com/, and click the link to ‘create account’. Upon taking this action, you will be brought to the form fill to instigate your account setup.

Upon completing the signup form, you will then be instructed to verify your account at the email address that you allocated.

Upon completing this action, you will receive a confirmation that the setup has been successful.

Once you have created an account and verified the email address (or logged in to your existing developer account), you are now ready to register a new application to receive an API key by going to https://constantcontact.mashery.com/apps/register.

For the application description, you can simply write ‘integration of CRO to constant contact email service’.

Next, select both boxes for which API the application will use and standard use. Also, check the box to agree to the terms of service.

Upon completing this action, you will automatically be directed to the next screen which has your API key.

To claim your access token, click the link prompt as instructed, upon which you will be brought to the API test screen, to receive an access token, click ‘get access token’.

Fill in the details that you are presented with and click ‘create account’.

You have now successfully created a link to generate a constant contact token, click the link, upon which you will be presented with a screen, select, ‘allow’ access.

Your access token has now been generated.

Step 3: Entering the Constant Contact API Key and Contact Token

With your API ID and Access token now generated, copy and paste these unique codes into the Bouncezap platform field for ‘collecting subscribers’.

You are now set up to receive subscribers from your Bouncezap optin campaign directly to your constantcontact.com account contacts list.

Step 4: Receiving email subscribers from Bouncezap to Constant Contact

Upon an audience member completing the sign-up optin, their details will automatically be directed to your constant contact, contacts list.

To test this, create and fill in a campaign in the test and preview area in the Bouncezap portal.

Next, login to your constant contact account at: https://www.constantcontact.com/

Click on ‘Contacts’ on the Constant Contact dashboard.

Here in the contacts list, you will find your transferred contact.

You can also at your discretion, create a new tag to better identify new subscribers.

You have now successfully linked your Bouncezap subscribers to your Constant Contact email list.
